Y-US is now using the "Risking Connection" trauma-informed training program for staff through TREATI (Trauma, Research, Education and Training Institute at Klingberg Family Center in New Britain). Y-US' sole mission is to understand and work with children and youth who have experienced abuse and trauma.

NOTE: The DCF Credentialing of afterschool Fee For Service providers is now in effect. The Fee Schedule is on the ABH website. Y-US is utilizing the "traditional" fee structure (not the higher cost "clinical" fee schedule).
Better Horizons Program
General Qualifiers:
- Child must reside in the southern half of Hartford
- Child must have experienced some form of trauma
- Child can be male or female
- Child must live in a biological or adoptive home; no foster care allowed
- Child may be between 8-13 years of age upon intake; may stay through 16 years old
